Testimony
“After many years of frustration with using film on the walls of my lettuce growing greenhouse, I experimented with Solasafe polycarbonate as a cost-effective alternative. In the 8 years it has been there, I haven’t had to worry about it! I am now using Solasafe to replace film on the walls of all my greenhouses!â€

Available Profiles
The majority of widely used profiles are available, including Corrugated, Trimdek, Greca and Omega. Zammit Roofing are also able to source GE’s Lexan* profiled sheet, available in widths up to 1870mm for minimal laps and maximum light transmission.
Spanning
PROFILE | MAX.SPAN |
Corrugated | 1.0M |
Greca | 1.0M |
Omega | 1.0M |
Trimdek | 1.2M |
The above spans are recommended for wind loads up to 1 kPa. For high wind or cyclonic areas, please contact Zammit Roofing.
Thermal Insulation
Solasafe polycarbonate has a K-Value of 6.5 W/m2.K, and is available with Anti-Drip coatings.
Greater insulation values are available with the Lexan* Thermoclear* multiwalled sheet, or Wonderglas GC Dual Roof.
Anti-Drip
Lexan* profiled sheet is available with a specifically developed hydrophilic coating on the inner surface which reduces the formation of condensation droplets, thus helping to prevent crop spoilage in commercial greenhouses. This coating technology can be combined with an embossed coating to aid light diffusion.
Light Transmission
Solasafe polycarbonate features light transmission of 90%, and is warranted to maintain high levels for a long period of time. Solasafe is also available with an embossed coating to aid light diffusion, and an Anti-Drip coating to prevent light transmission loss through water droplets
Curving
Solasafe sheeting can be safely curved to a radius of 3m. For greenhouses with higher curving radii, please contact Zammit Roofing.
Installation
The light weight and effortless handling of Solasafe, make installation safe and easy. Installation time can also be reduced by 50%, using Zammit Roofing’s Clearfix self-drilling screws!
Warranty
Solasafe and Lexan profiled polycarbonate feature a Limited 10 Year Warranty against Hail Damage, Excessive Yellowing and Loss of Light Transmission. For full warranty details, please contact your nearest Zammit Roofing office.
